Jahn's Prairie Gooseberry
Jahn's Prairie is a reddish pink gooseberry collected from the wild in Alberta, Canada by Otto L. Jahn. The sweet-tart fruit is large, pink-red and suitable for cooking and processing. Plants are vigorous and upright with few thorns.
This cold hardy plant produces fruits mid to late season. Yields are high and plants show high disease-resistance, making them an excellent, trouble-free, choice for home garden or commerical planting. For optimum yields and ease of harvest, a simple trellis (or tomato cage) can be used.
